    • Peel off the protective film on top.

  3. Apply Press-On Nail

    • Align the press-on nail with your cuticle and press down firmly.

    • Hold for 10–15 seconds to ensure a good bond.

Tip: Avoid water and lotion for at least one hour after application.

How to Apply Press-On Nails.

You can apply press-ons using either sticky tabs (for short-term wear) or liquid nail glue (for long-term hold). Here’s a full guide with helpful tips to make your nails last and look flawless.

Using Liquid Nail Glue (Long Term Wear: 1–2 Weeks)

Great for everyday wear and longer-lasting hold.

  1. Prep Your Nails

    • Same steps as using sticky tabs: wash, push back cuticles, lightly buff, and clean with alcohol.

  2. Apply Nail Glue

    • Apply a thin, even layer of glue to your natural nail.

    • You can also add a small dot of glue to the back of the press-on for extra hold.

  3. Apply Press-On Nail

    • Quickly align the nail with your cuticle and press down.

    • Hold firmly for 15–30 seconds to secure.

Tip: The better your prep, the longer your nails will last!

AFTERCARE TIPS:

  1. Keep extra tabs with you in case a nail pops off for a quick fix!

  2. Store used nails and tabs separately if you want to reuse them.

  3. Less is more! Too much glue can cause bubbling or overflow.

  4. Be careful not to get glue on your skin, it can cause lifting.

  5. Avoid water or oils for at least 2 hours after applying.

• How to Safely Remove Press-On Nails.

Proper removal is important to protect the health of your natural nails and to preserve your press-ons for future use. The method you use depends on whether you applied your nails with sticky tabs or nail glue.

Removal After Using Sticky Tabs

Sticky tabs are designed for temporary wear and allow for easy, damage-free removal.

Steps:

  1. Soak your hands in warm, soapy water for 5–10 minutes to soften the adhesive.

  2. Gently lift the press-on nail from the sides, using a cuticle stick if needed. Do not force or pull.

  3. If the nail does not lift easily, continue soaking until it loosens naturally, patience is key.

  4. Remove any leftover adhesive from your nails using rubbing alcohol or a nail cleanser.

Aftercare: Clean and dry both your natural nails and the press-ons. Store the press-ons in a clean container if you plan to reuse them.

Removal After Using Nail Glue

Glue provides a longer-lasting hold and requires a bit more time and care during removal.

Method 1: Soak in Warm Water and Oil (Gentle Method)

  1. Prepare a bowl with warm water, a small amount of dish soap, and a few drops of cuticle oil or olive oil.

  2. Soak your nails for 15–20 minutes to gradually break down the glue.

  3. Gently lift the press-on nails using a cuticle stick. If they resist, soak longer and try again.

  4. Once removed, use a nail buffer to carefully remove any glue residue

Additional Tips

  1. Do not attempt to pull off glued press-ons without soaking, as this can damage your natural nails.

  2. Always moisturize your nails and cuticles after removal to restore hydration.

  3. If you're planning to reuse the press-ons, avoid soaking them in acetone; use the warm water method when possible and gently buff off remaining glue.

How to Size Your Nails Using Aprés Gel‑X Measurements.

Achieving a seamless, natural look starts with nails that fit perfectly, and Aprés Gel‑X provides precise measurements to help you nail it.

Step-by-Step Measuring Instructions

  1. Prep Your Nails
Remove polish and gently push back cuticles for an accurate fit.

  2. Measure Each Nail

    • Place a piece of transparent tape over the widest part of your nail bed.

    • Mark the edges with a pen, then remove and measure the distance with a ruler in millimeters (mm).

    • Don't include your pen mark thickness, this can add 1–2 mm to your measurement.

  3. Record for Both Hands
Your left and right nails might differ—measure all ten fingers individually.

  4. Compare to the Aprés Gel‑X Standard Size Chart

These are Aprés Gel‑X’s typical sizes (thumb to pinky) as published in their sizing kit documentation.

  1. If Your Measurements Don’t Align Perfectly
Select the next larger size and use a nail file to carefully shape the press-on to fit your nail.

  2. Shape or Length Variations
Since sizes can vary by shape (e.g., almond, coffin, stiletto) and length, we highly recommend ordering a sizing kit for each shape and length you plan to offer—this ensures custom accuracy.

  3. Consider Half Sizes or 000 for Extra Width
Aprés now offers half sizes and even a 000 size—especially useful for wider nail beds or thumbs to achieve a truly snug fit.

  4. Custom Fit Option
If your measurements still don’t fit standard sizes, include custom measurements per finger when placing your order.
